Lead Coating

Lead Coating

Lead coating (lead shielding) is performed after conducting a measurement and control study based on your existing shielding report to establish the necessary standards. If you do not have an existing shielding report, our engineers will prepare one. This includes ground and area studies, environmental factors, devices to be used, nearby living spaces, and all necessary standards, ensuring precise calculations tailored to your project. For lead coating applications, we use lead sheets and lead bricks based on the radiation area's values.

We assemble lead up to certain thicknesses using special mounting machines without screws (allowing for future disassembly and reuse).

For higher thicknesses, we laminate lead sheets together with special lead-headed screws and lock the lead bricks into a protective cage to complete the lead coating application.

Like our other products that we manufacture and sell, our lead coating applications are guaranteed and certified. Since even minor errors in lead coating application can lead to high costs and expose workers to high radiation levels, these applications must be performed by experts in the field.
Lead sheets and lead bricks used for radiation shielding must have a higher purity level than standard lead purity values.

Lead is a non-conductive element for electricity. It is widely used due to its grayish color and superior characteristics, such as being rustproof and easily moldable. These features make lead a common choice in various applications. Additionally, lead coating is preferred, especially in mosques, to protect other metals from external environmental conditions.

Lead is a rustproof product and also has radiation-blocking properties. This product is used in many healthcare facilities and meets customer expectations due to its advantages. Today, it is not only preferred in healthcare but also stands out as a material used in various engineering applications.

Lead Coating for X-Ray Rooms

Lead coating is used in many areas. It is commonly preferred in healthcare due to its radiation-blocking properties. Its rustproof characteristic also makes it suitable for other uses. For example, lead coating is used in mosques to protect fountains and roof coverings. It is also chosen for protective purposes in buildings.

Since lead can easily be shaped, it can be applied in various settings. Thanks to its wide range of applications, lead coating can be produced in different forms. The lead sheets we produce are used in healthcare for shielding X-ray rooms. They can be used in various thicknesses. Lead coating (lead shielding) is applied according to the values of the radiology equipment and the architectural structure of the room.

Lead Coating Application

Lead manufacturers generally design lead coating products in various thicknesses to meet customer expectations. Depending on changing customer demands, lead coating products are chosen for both protection and insulation purposes, providing solutions for issues such as radiation protection and wear resistance.

Additionally, the production of lead coating products, which come in different models for radiation safety, is often determined not only by standard production techniques but also by special customer requests. During the manufacturing stages of these services, supervising and design engineers produce various lead-shielded lead coating products. Due to its easy processability, lead is used to design various lead-featured products. Lead sheet production techniques are carried out in compliance with the legal procedures of the Turkish Atomic Energy Authority.
